Disney Buys Lucasfilm

Everyone knows this already, but Disney announced yesterday that the company bought Lucasfilm, George Lucas' studio behind the Star Wars franchise.

Most Star Wars fans are pretty TO'd about this, but I'm not.  Many fans don't realize that George Lucas has partnered with Disney on tons of Star Wars things, beginning in the 80's with the creation of the original Star Tours ride.  The parks also have Star Wars Weekends every summer that authentically celebrate the movies.

The thing getting most people angry is the announcement of Star Wars Episode 7, which will be released in 2015.  I'm not upset about this, either.  There will likely be a whole new batch of creative people behind this new movie, so there's no way to accurately assume that the movie is going to be bad.

So calm down, everyone.  It's gonna be fine.
